Snickers Porridge

I wouldn’t like to even hazard a guess at how many chocolate bars I have eaten over my life time but now I don’t really eat them. I do how ever still have a sweet tooth and try to find a more healthier option with natural sweeteners. This Snickers porridge is amazing and if you have a soft spot for chocolate like me you will absolutely love this. Mess around with the toppings until you find some you like.

Ingredients

  • 250ml almond milk
  • 40g wholegrain oats
  • 2tbsp chia seeds
  • 1.5tbsp raw honey
  • 1tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2tbsp crunchy peanut butter
  • 1tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 1tsp dark chocolate chips

Method

  • Heat the almond milk in a saucepan.
  • Add the oats, chia seeds, honey, cocoa powder and peanut butter and mix them together.
  • Turn the heat down a little and keep stirring until you have the desired consistency.
  • Transfer to a bowl and sprinkle on some desiccated coconut and a few dark chocolate chips.
  • Make yourself a cuppa and enjoy.
