To me oats is a must have. It is a superfood with so many health benefits its a no brainer if you should have it in or not. Not only is it delicious, it’s very versatile. You can do things like coat your chicken up in it to making many varieties of over night oat bowls for breakfast. Whole grain oats are full of fibre which is great for the digestive system and keeps you going to the loo regularly but not only that, it also lowers your cholesterol and your blood sugar too, so thats a win win win situation right there.
Oats release energy slowly and keeps them hunger pains away, unlike them awful sugary cereals which spike your levels massively then sends you crashing down like a lead balloon making you crave more sugar and feeling hungry. Just remember that oats are a grain and contain a lot of carbs so just eat in moderation if you are diabetic.
